The 5th Quadrennial Canada Regional Scouts camp got under way on Saturday, July 19 with 6 Scouts from Cambridge, 49 from Toronto and 107 from Montreal in this remote region over 3 hours North-west of Montreal.
Within the first two days all the groups have created all the handicrafts and have built a combination of flagpoles, gates, shelters, even a vanity mirror.
All the groups have gone swimming in crystal clear lake water, which is so clean that you can drink it (water has been tested). Weather conditions have been ideal - sunny and dry, campfires under starry skies adjacent to the lake.
The following Scouts groups are in attendance with their respective group leaders:
- • Ari Leader : Zareh Demirdjian
- • Arenoush Leader : Valerie Obegi
- • Yerets Leader: Haig Zakarian
- • Louveteaux: Vahe Chahinian
- • Exploratrices: Narine Kaloussian
The kitchen crew consists of Leon Arabian (cook chief), K. Leony Sarmazian (asst cook chief), Siroun Telian, and Taline Karasseferian.
